Beware! Web surfing will no longer ensure your safety. Your system being free from any viruses is not anymore a guarantee that the information about your computer’s IP address, location, browsing history and all other details will leak out. If your computer is supportive of certain programs such as finger or identity, it is very easy for hackers to find your computer name or worse, your name itself!

Do not be distressed but because there exists a solution; anonymous web surfing! The information about you reaches the wrong hands when you normally make visits to websites where you will be required to part with some of your personal information. In doing so, the data from your computer is sent to the website’s hosting server. There exist specialists who are adept in intercepting these databases before reaching you.

There are hackers who can intercept the data packets of these websites and use them to reach at your personal details. But you need not worry. Anonymous web surfing can lessen the risk of your details being leaked. The provision of an anonymous internet proxy server will substitute your IP address with their own thereby hiding your address. Anonymous web surfing will not guard your computer completely against the hackers. But the advantage is that the job of infiltrating into your private territory becomes an arduous task.

Though running a free anonymous proxy might seem to be a brilliant idea. But there are some points to be noted. The proxy service can cost you a fortune. It occupies a lot of bandwidth which might lead to additional expenses. On the top of it, if the proxy service is not properly configured, the whole attempt for privacy might get arrested.

The shopping websites have servers to track down your shopping habits by entering into each and every activity you perform in the internet. You are equally prone to danger when you download various software tools from internet. Only anonymous web surfing can protect you from the all-powerful hackers.

While Voluntary Surf Life Saving is practiced in many countries around the world including America, New Zealand, Germany, South Africa and Ireland, it originated in Australia in 1906.

While originally started to save lives, surf lifesaving has now become a competitive. Beaches throughout the world have lifesavers offering bathers protection on holidays, public holidays and weekends. These volunteers constantly patrol the beaches.

Local government usually hires and pays lifeguards to patrol beaches full time and they offer opportunities for volunteers to help out. First aid, safety advice and rescue services are provided to people at these types of venues such as pools and lakes where people may swim or bathe. This is a much needed and valued service to members of the public.

People who give their time freely for the purposes of saving lives are called volunteers. A patrol captain will supervise these volunteers and administer a roster for the volunteers. He or she will also coordinate and monitor the rescue missions.

Training to become a volunteer lifeguard is extensive and one cannot be a lifeguard without training and certification. The various life saving clubs offer training and certificates. The Bronze Medallion is mandatory and is also known as a Certificate II in public safety and aquatic rescue. This extensive course covers all aspects of life guarding work and includes: Patrolling in a power craft, occupational health and safety, different terrains of beaches, wave patterns, currents, resuscitation, first aid, communication, radio communication, different rescue methods and other aspects of rescue work. Once the volunteer has completed and passed the course, they are able to become a lifeguard.

There are various types of equipment used for the purposes of saving lives. These include apparatus for tricky environments and hazards and are made available to the volunteer lifeguard. Some of the apparatus would include all terrain vehicles, jet skis or wave runners, oxygen tanks and rescue boards.

Voluntary Surf Life Saving has continued to provide a good and much needed service. There is no doubt that more volunteers are always welcome to sign up to perform this selfless task.

When I hit the beach to surf I usually head down to Mermaid Beach. Though the waves are not among the best of the Gold Coast’s offerings, I choose this spot because of the ability to dodge the swelling crowds. Crowds and surfing: they’ve got a funny relationship. No serious surfer out there will tell you that they enjoy surfing in a tightly packed spot, yet nonetheless we all tend to exacerbate the matter by obeying certain sheep-like behavior (i.e. the “follow the pack” mentality).

On any given day at Mermaid, there will be at least 3 or 4 peaks. Typically only 1 is being surfed and by many surfers. I’ll always have a look before jumping in and invariably, I will pick a different peak to surf on. Both the quality of wave and the number of people on each peak will all play into my calculations. I’ll typically trade some degree of quality for a smaller crowd, but that’s just me.

I’ll sometimes end up walking about a kilometer in either direction to determine which wave I really want to catch. Once I’ve caught one however, it’s almost invariably the case that one of the surfers crammed into the pack will branch off and come surf the spot I’m at. It’s not clear to me why they didn’t do so at an earlier point, since the wave had been breaking there all day long. It seems to be a matter of a lack of imagination on the other surfer’s behalf, not realizing the wave was there until I chose to catch it.

I’m constantly amazed by the number of surfers who arrive at the beach and do not look for a wave. Rather they just paddle out to the closest group of surfers assuming that will be where the best waves are.

Often I am out surfing on days where ideal conditions exist all up and down the beach, with nobody else on their board except for me. Then another person gets into the surf and ends up at precisely the same area of the water where I am surfing. Of all the places they had at their disposal, they decide to compete with me at my break. In these cases, I just paddle off to catch the next wave down the beach and keep surfing, pondering in the process about the other person’s intelligence.

In sum, all of this brings me to the reflection: what in the world ended up happening to the spirit of exploration that used to define surfing? Where did it go? At what point did this flock mentality usurp its place within surfing culture? Maybe I am just the odd one out with regards to my predisposition for spacious, uninterrupted surfing? Perhaps the crowd surf is what people really enjoy now? I can’t make heads or tails of it in the end, but it definitely strikes me as odd.

Some food for thought though: each time you hit the beach for some quality surf, take a minute or three on the beach to really observe the waves before paddling out. There will probably be a better option than the most crowded one and you will definitely get to catch more waves.

Is a wetsuits just a wetsuit and are all wetsuits made the same? Can you use a wetsuit that is meant for diving when you go swimming, surfing, windsurfing etc…? To some point you can, wetsuit is designed to keep you warm no matter for what sport it was originally meant. But on the other and wearing a wrong wetsuit can be limiting.

What are the basic requirements of a wet suit? It should fit you snugly and keep you warm. Some are thinner, some thicker, some are lighter and some heavier. The most important thing when choosing a wetsuit is the area where the wet suit will be used. Are you going to be scuba diving in Tahiti or snorkeling in the Seychelles? Alternatively, you could be deep sea diving around Northern Europe, in much colder waters.

So how do wetsuits work, how do they keep us warm? The main thing here is the material from which they are made of. Neoprene is a rubbery material that contains lots and lots of small bubbles filled with gas. These bubbles act as insulation against the cold water and give the neoprene great insulation capabilities. After you put on your wetsuit and enter the water a thin layer of water will come between your body and the neoprene. It will be heated by your body and you will be warm. If you are diving - when you reach greater depths the water that might have entered the wetsuit will be squeezed out by the pressure.

So how thick wetsuit do you need greatly depends on the water temperature. And water temperature depends on the location and time - where and when are you going to use your wetsuit. Another thing to consider is also your sex. Wetsuits for women are a bit different that wetsuits for men.

Women should always get a little warmer wetsuit than a man for the same water temperature. Why? Because womens body has comparatively more surface area then mens body. This is why women get cold faster. Also - a general rule is that a warmer wetsuit is more practical since if you feel warm you can always let some cold water in to cool you down but if you feel cold there is not much that you can do.

If you want to get a really warm wetsuit than you should get a two piece suit. Here your body is covered by two layers of neoprene. On the other hand a two piece wetsuit is clumsier and not that suitable for other sports but diving. Also, you will need to carry some extra lead with this wetsuit when you are diving since it is more buoyant than normal one piece wetsuit.

Now that we have covered the thickness of your wetsuit in relation to the water temperature you need to focus on the fit. Wetsuit needs to fit you, if it is to big, it will fill with water and loose much of its insulation capabilities. Only the right thickness and the right fit will keep you warm and let you dive without the fear of cold.

by Clement Call

Let me begin with an explanation what a wetsuit actually is. It is a protection suit used in sports like swimming, surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, scuba diving, triathlon and others. All water sport activities can benefit from using a wetsuit. It function is to keep you warm and protect you from cold water.

How does a wetsuit work?

Wetsuit catches a thin layer of water (wetsuit should be snug) between your skin and the neoprene. You warm this water with your body heat and it acts as insulation, together with neoprene itself. Neoprene contains lots of air bubbles and air is one of the best insulators out there.

Wetsuits are less effective in deep water; this is one of the reasons that dives use thicker wetsuits.

What Is A Wetsuit Made Of?

Manufacturers generally use neoprene to make wetsuits. Neoprene is a synthetic rubber fabric with little pockets of gaseous nitrogen. Several pieces of this stretchable material are attached together to form a body hugging garment that those who love water sports cannot do without. The cuffs, leg and neck openings are sealed in such a way that the egress of water is prevented.

When you are buying your wetsuits you must also consider wetsuit thickness. Thicker wetsuit is warmer but less comfortable and vice versa. Usually wetsuits are from 2 to 6 millimeters thick. Then there are also some other materials that can be added to the wetsuit to make it warmer.

The type of stitches is also very important when it comes to wetsuit productions. Normal stitches mean holes in your wetsuits and cold water flushing in. So at the moment the best seams are made using a blindstitch technique and additionally sealed using liquid taping.

As far as the structure of a wetsuit goes, wetsuits usually come with zippers. These are often located at the back of the suit, and sometimes on the chest or shoulders of the garment. There are some wetsuits that have come into the market recently ” these are so stretchable that the user can put it on using only the neck opening.

Some wetsuits can also be customized and adapted to the conditions in the water ” sleeves and legs can be removed. But the top of the line wetsuits do not have this since this means less warmth and worse performance of the wetsuit.

Wetsuit Types

There are many different wetsuit models, depending on the water temperature they are meant for. You can buy a shorty, spring suit, full wetsuit, steamer, winter wetsuit etc… Apart from that the most important thing is the right fit. If the wetsuit is too big cold water will flush in and you will feel cold.

Wetsuit should also be tight around the neck, wrists and ankles so that water can not come in. Just not to tight, make sure that you can breathe and move comfortably. If you get a good wetsuit and if it fits you right you can surf, swim, dive etc at some really low temperatures.

When the summer time comes around or if you want to get away from the cold winter to find some more sunny climates, many of our first thoughts will turn straight to the idea of a lovely beach holiday in a tropical paradise. If you are keen on just getting away from your daily lives and work and simply relaxing on some beautiful beaches there are many different places around the world where you can do this. Lets take a look at the best ones.

The first place to mention may just be the most beautiful beach and island landscape in the world. The island of the Maldives are totally stunning for anyone who has ever been to them. Thousands of island make up beautiful atolls and each one is gifted with its own stunning sandy beaches. Typically these islands have been popular for honeymoons and couples, and their beauty really tells the story of why this is so.

Second of all, the islands down in the South Pacific are also similarly stunning. Any place such as the Cook island and Fiji where you have dotted islands in a larger group always turn up the most beautiful beach sites you can imagine. Sitting on your own beach and then looking to a nearby island with another beautiful beach is truly awe inspiring.

Thirdly, Thailand and the beaches than line the coasts of Indochina are also very popular amongst tourists. One of the beauties about these great spots are the facts that it is so ludicrously cheap there. Getting there may cost you a bit, but once you are there the cost of living will be tiny and therefore you can live like an absolute king on a reasonable amount of money.

Forth of all, the Whitsundays in Australia. Australia itself has so many beautiful beaches dotted all around its enormous coastline, but if you are looking for true perfection then the Whitsunday islands right at the bottom of the Great Barrier Reef is an ideal spot. In particular, the beach of Whitehaven has regularly seem itself right at the top of bolls of the most beautiful beaches and this really has to be seen to be believed.

The list does, of course, continue on and on. Lets not forget the islands of the Caribbean, Hawaii, or the great booming beaches of South America. What it does come down to, of course, will be what you are after from your vacation.

Whatever you are after, as long as you have the budget to suffer it, you will find some superb locations that world over.

Whether you’re looking for inexpensive backpacker hotels within walking distance of the beach, or ultra-luxury boutique hotels, Santa Teresa and Malpais have them both.

When you arrive in Santa Teresa and Malpais, you’ll instantly become aware that you’ve found an amazing and unique place, very different from most other villages in Costa Rica. The Malpais area has been compared with Hawaiin beach towns decades ago, but with monkeys in its forests, or with a warm-water version of Santa Cruz, California.

Even though Malpais and Santa Teresa are so popular, there are many beautiful beaches nearby that you can have almost to yourself. There are beautiful secret waterfalls, and point breaks for surfing that often have no one on them.

Santa Teresa and Malpais are two small beach towns that are run together and create one incredible spot for surfing. Malpais is more rocky, but Santa Teresa is primarily sandy surfing beaches with warm, clean water and year round epic waves. The area has many surf schools, surf camps, and surf instructors who make their living here.

Many tourists come from South America and Europe, not only the United States and Canada. Many have stayed in the area and found a way to make a living by creating unique little restaurants, hotels, and rental houses. The food in Santa Teresa has become among the best in Costa Rica. Many five-star chefs have built restaurants here and do their own cooking, creating a plethora of dining opportunities.

The Santa Teresa area has also become known as a great surf destination among Costa Ricans as well. Many of the young people in San Jose drive to the various beach towns to surf on weekends, and many families head to the beaches during vacations. Malpais itself means “bad country” or “badlands” because of the lack of water during the dry season. The climate is similar to southern California, with hardly any rain at all from December through April, making it very popular among travelers during those months.

Santa Teresa, Costa Rica offers a variety of luxurious villas and vacation rental homes. The most consistently popular are the beachfront homes, which always fulfill the tropical beach fantasies of their rental clients. These range from $350 to $2000 per night, although there are a few cheaper options. Even the highest price vacation rental houses are frequently booked, and many celebrities and movie stars have been seen here escaping the cameras of the paparazzi. This may be because Forbes Mazazine voted the beaches of Santa Teresa to be among the top ten most beautiful in the world.

Many have found that renting a vacation home is superior to the experience provided by a hotel. A rental villa usually has more space, more privacy, and is a much more unique and adventurous experience. The typical tourist to this part of Costa Rica usually craves this type of lodging, and as a result there are no hotel chains set up in the area.

Hotels of all price categories are popular in the area, from backpacker hostels for $10/night to luxury beachfront hotels that are up to $1000/night. Despite its remove location, there are plenty of tourists in all price categories in Santa Teresa. It’s idyllic scenery makes it especially popular for couples going on their honeymoon, and many are now having a santa teresa wedding on the beach. Many hotels and rental houses are catering to these types of specialty travellers.

Do you want more excitement when playing sports? Do you want more thrills and exhilaration that is challenging and pushes you to the limit? If you do, extreme sports may be the right choice for you.

Activities that have a type of danger in them are extreme sports. They involve things like physical exertion, stunts, special gear, speed, and height. There are three kinds you can do; air, land, and water.

Bungee jumping is an example of an air sport. This is where you are securely tied with a cord to something mounted and stable and then jump off of a very tall structure, such as a bridge or ledge. Some people also jump off of moving structures like planes, balloons, and helicopters. People who do this also tend to try sky diving.

Another example is hang gliding. Here, you are the pilot and you hang from a hang glider aircraft. You use your feet to launch in the air and this is how you fly and glide. Gliders are usually made of aluminum and fabric. The harness is what secures you and your body weight controls the direction you go.

A land sport is snowboarding. This is a great option for those that want to participate in an extreme activity yet live in snowy and cold areas. Mountains are what many snowboard off of, but you can also do freeriding, dry slope, and jibbing and rail riding. Freeriding is just like free styling, so you board on all terrain that you desire. Dry slope means that you choose to board on man made slopes. Jibbing and rail riding is something many do in parks because it involves boarding over obstacles and rails.

A water sport is snorkeling. This is where you swim through water after diving using fins and a snorkel. People tend to go snorkeling in oceans and other large bodies of water. Some do this in order to observe and experience the under water aquatic life that cannot be seen on land. Places where you can scuba dive and resorts usually offer this activity.

Now that you know a little bit about extreme sports, you can determine if it is something you want to do. You can find one to do no matter what type of area you live in or the climate. There are hazards involved, but with the correct training, practice, and gear, you can do them safely.

The power kite buggy is a vehicle power driven by a kite and is manufactured with this purpose in mind. It is a single seater and has a front wheel steering and two attached back wheels. You have to coordinate the steering and flying in order to regulate the pace of the vehicle. A velocity of 100km /hr can be attained for a skilled surfer.

The ‘bucket style’ seat in the peter lynn buggy lends the rider ample back and side support. This is absolutely vital, as the rider passes on the strength of the pulling kite to the buggy. Generally, the kite is attached to the rider with the help of a strap up and a strop line. The slowing down and the speeding up activities are aided by the kite.

You have to progress unswervingly in a straight line to adapt yourself to this “parakarting activity.” You have to determine that your kite is about ten to twenty feet over the land during kite buggying.

You can attach a second buggy to some buggies with the help of a special trailer coupling. You need only a solitary kite to make it go forward and it has to be driven by the pilot in the primary buggy. You can also have two kites for two buggies with each rider handling a kite.

There are buggies which have the capacity to fasten a second one with the aid of specific trailer coupling. You require only one kite to keep them in motion which has to be ridden by the rider in the first buggy. But you can make use of two kites with each rider manipulating each kite.

One thrilling activity that can be done by a pilot is jumps, in which the driver is linked to the power kite buggy with a lap belt. In order to attain more power, you have to use huge kites. In the beginning the driver produces the highest possible power with the kite above him which will help him to be hauled up along with the buggy to greater heights. A lot of experienced drivers carry out a lot of tactics like pendulum swings, side winders, spins and the like.

Kite buggying is an activity that should be attempted only by skilled and highly confident persons. The erratic winds are the suppliers of power to the buggy and the pilot has to be careful to not just about himself, but also the surroundings and the people in and around the area. You must use a helmet and a good body shield. It would be ideal to avail of a third party insurance policy too, just in case a bystander gets hurt.
