Costa Rica is a small Central American country bordering the countries of Nicaragua and Panama. It is often considered to be a tropical paradise. In 1502, Christopher Columbus landed along its Caribbean coast and was so mesmerized he named the place ‘Costa Rica’, the ‘Rich Coast’. The name stuck.
In a part of the world often known best for its instability, Costa Rica is a proud, stable democracy and, along with Switzerland, only one of two countries in the world without a military. With an ever-improving tourism infrastructure and two international airports, it is a great place for a spectacular vacation. There is nearly an endless list of things to do and see in a country famous for its incredible diversity of plants and animals.

The evening before the worlds biggest gathering of stand up paddle racers to date, it hit me: This is going to be gnarly!
The beach is decorated like a rock concert will be hosted tomorrow thanks to event organizer Barrett Tester and Pat Huber. The waves are awesome and we are slated to have more of the same in the days to come. A young entry Slater Trout is full of fire and will surely give the big boys a run for their money.

Originally discovered and named ‘Costa Rica’ by Christopher Columbus more than 600 years ago, Costa Rica is still being discovered every day by tourists from around the world. It is a tropical paradise with year-round great weather and a government committed to sustainable development. In fact, in 2008 a team of Columbia and Yale researchers found that of 149 different countries’ studied, Costa Rica was in the top 5 for environmental performance—-far above the United States, Canada, or any other country in the Western Hemisphere.

A wetsuit is truly a very helpful invention in the world of water sports as well as other activities that deal with waters. Exposure to cold temperatures especially when you are submerged in water can be risky and may lead you to a fatal condition called hypothermia.
A wetsuit is specifically designed to protect the body when exposed to low temperatures especially when submerged in waters. Body heat tends to drain faster when in water thus the risk of hypothermia is also high. To prevent this, it is advisable to wear your wetsuit when you are doing your favorite water sports – may it be surfing, wakeboarding or even recreational swimming. Wetsuits are even more recommended when doing activities submerged in water like snorkeling and scuba diving.

So what exactly makes the difference between a wetsuit and a drysuit, and when should one be worn?
Wetsuits
Wetsuit manufacturers usually design wetsuits according to its use. Scuba diving wetsuits may be slightly different from a wetsuit made for triathlon or surfing, or it may differ in the materials and flexibility but they all have the same purpose – they maintain body warmth when you are in the water.

Even when the water starts to cool down and temperatures start to go down, you don’t have to worry about not being able to have fun in your favorite wakeboarding hangout. Getting the best wakeboarding wetsuit will indeed allow you to enjoy the sport still.
But what are the best wakeboarding brands in the market, and what is the best among all these brands?
Because wakeboarding involves stunts and turns, flexibility is one criterion in looking for the best wakeboarding wetsuit. To protect you from the cold waters, the warmth a wetsuit can give is also a consideration, and this is often determined by how the seams are put together and how watertight are they. The comfort of the suit is a consideration as well.

Wetsuits are special garments that you can wear to protect your body from adverse water and weather conditions. They are used in a wide range of sports like surfing, scuba diving, open water swimming, triathlon, wakeboarding, windsurfing, and other kinds of water-related activities.
Wetsuits are made from neoprene, a waterproof, synthetic rubber. Neoprene is an excellent insulator, which means it keeps the heat emanating from your body inside the suit. It’s also very flexible and stretchy.
